I created this "digital compact" as an extension to a conceptual cosmetic brand called Mod, where the backing of the the makeup, such as eyeshadows, etc have a magnetic backing in order to keep your makeup organized and easy to find. The "digital compact" would analyze your skin tone and eye shape and tell you what colors will look best based on facial recognition, etc. This is all very common now but I'd like to think I thought of it first.
I designed this back in 2004, in the era of flip phones and T-Mobile Sidekicks. Now this idea isn't so innovative but the idea was that you could upload your image and through facial recognition, this compact would analyze your skin tones, eye shape and would not only tell you what colors best suit you but you could also easily order and reorder your makeup on this device.
